Job Overview
Marty Mason Design Group and Marty Mason Lifestyle are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Apparel & Interior Design Technical Designer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, has strong technical expertise, and can bring design concepts to life in real time.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the owner to quickly and efficiently translate interior design proposals and mood boards into polished presentations using Photoshop and Illustrator. Additionally, they will support the growth of our clothing line by developing spec sheets and handling key aspects of apparel production.
This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile designer who is equally passionate about interiors and fashion, with the technical skills to execute high-quality designs across both disciplines.
Interview Process
• The first step will be a 15- to 30-minute virtual call, including a brief skills demonstration and introduction.
• Final candidates will be invited for an in-person meeting with the team.
Duties
• Collaborate with the lead designer to create visually appealing presentations that effectively communicate design concepts to clients.
• Design and produce mood boards that capture the desired aesthetic and style for each project.
• Ensure consistency and alignment with the firm's brand identity across all design materials.
• Assist and develop spec sheets for apparel design.
• Manage procurement, organization, and production of clothing samples.
• Provide creative and technical input on apparel design.
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including social media graphics, brochures, and other promotional content.
• Stay current with design trends and industry best practices to continually enhance the quality of our visual materials.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide support in other design-related and administrative tasks as needed.
• Keep up with design resource library, and ensure that resource center is up to date.
• Send resource packets to new customers.
• Update website when needed.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop [REQUIRED]
• Strong understanding of graphic design principles
• Experience in typesetting, photography, and color management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• A degree in Fashion design related field is preferred
• Social Media and video editing (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED)
