About this role

About the position We are looking for candidates that are self-starters with a strong eagerness to learn and have a collaborative spirit, ready to support designers in delivering our high-end luxury products. During this internship you will be able to apply your skills related to color theory, space planning and project management. Successful candidates can prioritize their work, apply time management strategies and find new and innovative ways to make a difference in their role. Responsibilities Provide effective assistance with presentations (sample boards, renderings, drawings) of aircraft design concepts incorporating customer requirements to achieve marketing objectives and to meet all FAA requirementsInterface with interior design to develop effective presentations for aircraft refurbishments and/or completions.Assist in coordinating all fabric material inquiries and reserves to check for availability for assigned aircraftOrganize, prepare, distribute and file materials and data to help establish and maintain effective communication and information systems within the design department.Support completion design as required.Maintain organization and cleanliness of sample libraryPerform other duties as assigned.Requirements Knowledge of design principles, color science, textile, carpet, and leather techniques.Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.Time management, space planning, self-starter, ability to work without constant oversight.Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded); must be listed on resume.Minimum duration: 12–14 weeks (summer); 14–16 weeks (spring and fall).Must work onsite; this is not a remote position.Must have reliable transportation.This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.Nice-to-haves Knowledge of design principles, color science, textile, carpet and leather techniques.Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Benefits Competitive payPaid Time OffHousing stipend (if your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from Gulfstream)Medical coverage401(k) matchCollegiate networking event
