As a Design Consultant, you'll work closely with customers in our design centers or remotely to create individualized design solutions that sell Ethan Allen products and services. Your designs will include space planning, fabric coordination, product selection, and overall project design. You'll be measured on performance categories like teamwork, customer service, communication skills, decision-making, project development, presentation, and technical skills. You must be skilled in using social media platforms like blogs, micro-blogs, online forums, content sharing websites, and other digital channels to promote Ethan Allen's brand. We're looking for individuals with a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, one year of interior design experience, and a broad knowledge of interior design and sales techniques. A bachelor's degree in a design-related field is desirable. Ethan Allen offers competitive compensation based on commissions earned, including a recoverable draw typically ranging from $30k to $70k annually. Experienced Design Consultants can earn up to $200,000 per year or more. Benefit availability varies based on full-time or part-time employee classification. This is a Full-Time position requiring intermediate skill competency using digital floor planning technology and willingness to learn new technologies.
