Company Description: DesignWise is a premier interior design, procurement and FF&E installation company primarily in the hospitality industry located in White Bear Lake, MN. We work across all hotel lodging brands as well as other commercial interior projects. Position Summary: This position encompasses responsibility for all design phases of FF&E hospitality projects, operating under the direction and guidance of the lead designer and project manager. It further provides opportunities to engage with clients and present design concepts through to project completion. The primary job responsibilities for this position are: • Participate in all phases of interior design projects including programming, schematic design, design development, FF&E and construction documentation • Create space plans and furniture layouts, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and section detailing • Selection of design elements including fabrics, furniture, finishes, window treatments and lighting • Generate accurate product specifications, budgets and change orders • Submit material and finish specifications to franchises • Attend client meetings; present design concepts and assist with presentations • Report project updates to Lead Designer and Project Manager Requirements for this position are: • Strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills with an ability to convey project information to coworkers, clients and vendors • Revit skills required • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign & Photoshop) • MS Office Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook • Demonstrated understanding of FF&E selection for proper application and specifications • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment • Detail oriented with accurate data entry skills Education and Experience: • Professional Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program • Entry level/Jr Design qualifications: quick learner with education, knowledge, passion and focus on hospitality, commercial use a bonus • Working towards NCIDQ Certification or state license • Working knowledge in professional design and/or specification software: Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, and MS Excel • FF&E Procurement: knowledge of furniture manufacturing industry and/or purchasing experience a plus Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits program as well as 401(k) plan.
