Entry Level Interior Designer

About the position Dewberry is seeking an energetic Entry Level Interior Designer to join their Peoria, IL office. This role is designed for recent graduates who have completed their Design degree and are looking to start their career in the building design field. The position offers the opportunity to work under the supervision of experienced professionals and gain exposure to the full design process while contributing to innovative projects. Responsibilities • Work under the supervision of the Interior Design Department Manager and receive direction from a Project Architect or Project Designer. , • Translate design intent into drawings. , • Organize the materials library and meet with industry representatives. , • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and collaborate with team members. , • Formulate, research, and ask pertinent questions regarding design or technical challenges. Requirements • Bachelor Degree in Interior Design from an accredited university required. , • 0-3 years of experience in interior design or related field. , • Strong design skills and a desire to develop technical expertise. , • Proficient in REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office. , • Rendering abilities and graphic experience, particularly in Photoshop, are a plus. , • LEED AP certification is a plus, with knowledge of sustainable design principles. Nice-to-haves • Experience in the building design field is a plus. , • Started NCIDQ with a future goal of registration. Benefits
