Entry Level Interior Designer

Entry Level Interior Designer Interior Designer with minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience. Salary commensurable to experience. SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Creativity • Enthusiasm • Passion • Work as a team member in a team environment • Ask questions without fear Excellent: • Listening and skills • Problem solving skills • Organizational skills • Verbal and written communication skills • Graphic skills to create finish boards • Assist team member with updating and correcting drawings • Ability to follow direction • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to quality • Experience with 2D and 3D design software • Problem solving skills • Organized and able to maintain a clean and orderly work environment • Able to manage multiple and changing priorities • Work 40 hours per week • Able to survey/measure spaces, buildings and create accurate background drawings • Ability to effectively meet deadlines • Travel as required EDUCATION: -Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from accredited program • NCIDQ certification within six (6) months of eligibility PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: • Identify areas of career oriented interest/development oriented and work with firm leadership to attain goals SOFTWARE: –Must be proficient/fluent in: AutoCAD 2008 or later , Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Microsoft Office Suite Entry level designers and those with limited experience will be expected to complete a design problem during the interview process to understand their communication skills, problem solving skills, graphic skills and Software aptitude.
