Overview: Join the talented Health Interiors team at HKS as an Entry-Level Interior Design Professional. In this role, you'll support project teams while developing your skills in a dynamic environment. We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, highly organized, and ready to contribute innovative ideas to our creative projects. Responsibilities: Revise drawings, presentations, and renderings as directed by the lead designer.Assist in preparing implementation document sets, including interior plans and fixture plans.Organize project files, materials, and displays.Help develop and manage furniture and interior fittings packages.Conduct site surveys and field verifications as needed.Support the development of interior concepts aligning with client visions and project scope.Utilize creative thinking to propose innovative solutions.Conduct research on project-specific materials and concepts.Coordinate with vendors and product manufacturers for finish sample procurement.Communicate and collaborate with other disciplines and consultants to gather necessary project information.Assist in reviewing RFIs and submittals during the Construction Administration Phase.Participate in product presentations to enhance knowledge of industry trends and materials.Contribute to team meetings discussing project and technical issues.Qualifications: Education and Experience: Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.0-3 years of experience preferred.Licenses and Certifications: On the path to NCIDQ certification.Sustainable design accreditation is a plus.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic skills in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Dynamo; intermediate preferred.Intermediate experience with visualization tools like Twinmotion and Enscape; advanced preferred.Proficient in AI design tools and virtual reality technologies.Basic knowledge of Bluebeam, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Familiarity with MS Office Suite.Understanding of furniture specification software and Navisworks is preferred.Basic knowledge of sustainability principles and integrated design guidelines.Familiarity with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) to support design intent.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively on innovative solutions.Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Willingness to travel as required.Base Salary Range: $62k to $67k annually. This range is applicable to positions in Chicago and Washington DC only. Actual salary may vary based on several factors including internal equity and experience.
