Entry Level CAD Designer

Our client is looking for an Engineering Technologist to join the team. This role will be in the office creating a variety of work order for clients in the power utilities space. This company provides full training, room for growth and exposure to different projects and teams! This is a long term, stable opportunity. The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise to accurately evaluate options and design safe, cost effective, and reliable distribution facilities for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. • Learn company/client policies and procedures for the development of site designs for electrical distribution facilities to serve a variety of customers. • Prepares site drawings and construction sketches for various installations of electrical facilities in a cost-effective manner that maximizes safety and service reliability. • Prepares project or job packages including material estimates and material requisitions of the materials required for the prepared distribution electrical designs. Must Haves: • Own reliable form of transportation • Ability to work 40 hrs/week first shift onsite • Completed 2 or 4 year degree in Engineering, Technology, Applied Science or related. OR related experience within power/electrical distribution. Plusses: • Any amount of past experience in utilities/power distribution
