OverviewJob Purpose: Assists the Design Studio Manager while providing excellent customer service, this position may work individually with customers as they select interior options and upgrades.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Design Studio Manager, may work with new home customers to select interior finishes such as cabinets, counters, flooring and lightingMay advise customers on interior design functions (with respect to color, functionality, budget)May research custom requests by obtaining information on materialsMay meet with vendors as neededResponsible for complete and accurate paperwork related to customer selectionsCreate paperwork for all Quick Move-In homesArrange appointment times/dates with new home customers; greet customers upon arrival to the Design StudioOther duties as assigned or expectedQualificationsKnowledge and SkillsStrong creative ability (Background in Interior Design is preferred)Excellent presentation skillsWell organized and self-directedStrong interpersonal skills with attention to detailStrong computer skillsAble to establish priorities and meeting deadlinesMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demandsMust be current with design trends in a variety of stylesMust have ability to read and understand architectural and structural blueprintsMust be willing to work evenings and weekends in a part time capacityStrong computer skills with MS Office and / or Builder Sales SystemEducation And Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent and Interior Design Certificate or some college level interior design coursework; or 3 years of selling experience in design center or retail design center; or combination of education and equivalent work experiencePrior experience in new home sales or design Studios is preferredSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typePart-timeJob functionDesign, Art/Creative, and Information TechnologyIndustries #J-18808-Ljbffr
