Director of Interior Design Location: Madison, WI Position Overview The Director of Interior Design will lead the creative vision and execution of interior design projects, ensuring that they meet client needs and adhere to industry standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to manage design teams and maintain client relations while ensuring project budgets and timelines are met. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the interior design team to deliver high-quality design solutions. • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand their needs and expectations. • Ensure all designs comply with building codes and industry regulations. • Oversee budget management for all projects to ensure financial accountability. • Guide concept development and space planning for various interior projects. • Coordinate with other departments to ensure project alignment and integration. • Direct the selection of furniture, materials, and finishes that meet design vision and client preferences. • Stay updated on design trends and innovations to incorporate into projects. • Present design concepts and plans to clients and stakeholders effectively. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in interior design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. • Proven expertise in client relations and project management. • Strong knowledge of building codes and budget management. • Excellent team leadership and communication skills. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. • Experience in concept development and space planning is a plus. • Familiarity with furniture selection and materials knowledge is desirable. • Strong presentation skills to communicate design ideas clearly.
