About this role

About the Role As a Business Development Leader for the Department of the Interior, you will be responsible for leading our business development efforts in this critical market segment. You will develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy, leveraging your expertise in business development, leadership, and stakeholder engagement to drive growth and revenue. • Collaborate with regional and business line leaders to design and execute growth strategies that align with our organization's strategic goals. • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities within the DOI, including developing capture plans and managing proposal activities to win new contracts. • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including federal agency representatives, to ensure alignment and support for our business development initiatives. Applicants must have a BA/BS plus at least 12 years of relevant business development experience, or a demonstrated equivalency, including at least 4 years of leadership experience. Federal entity business development and client management experience are essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Department of the Interior and its Bureaus, as well as exceptional communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills. A Master's degree is preferred. The role demands a high degree of autonomy, strategic prospect identification, and negotiation skills to manage teaming agreements that align with our risk profile and financial objectives.
