Your Role As a Gensler Designer with the Work 2 Studio in Washington, D.C., your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for our incredible clients. With you as part of the team, our designs have never been so engaging. What You Will Do Collaborate on interior architecture and interior design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedulesCoordinate with Interior Designers, Project Architects and Project Managers to deliver project milestonesProvide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for constructionProvide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design conceptsWork with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, consultants, and fabricators to meet overall project objectivesAssist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordinationEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationshipsProvide guidance, mentorship and training to teammates as needed Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture from an accredited program6-10 years of relevant (interior architecture and interior design projects for workplaces [offices]) professional experienceHighly proficient in RevitProficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUpStrong knowledge of the design process, including FF+E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materialsOutstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideasKnowledge of AutoCAD, 3D and other modeling software programsFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentAbility to communicate design ideas and direction quicklyA quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentStrong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skillsDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; ideally portfolios will include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview For consideration, please submit resume and a portfolio with relevant work samples. *This role is not remote; we look forward to working with our new team member in our dynamic D.C. office. **The estimated base salary range for this position is $74,000-$103,000, plus eligibility for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, with final compensation contingent on relevant experience.
