Job Title: Closet Designer & Sales Consultant (Training Provided) Location: Hampton Roads, VA Job Type: Full-Time / Contract Transition About Us We are a locally owned and growing business in Hampton Roads, and a proud dealer of Inspired Closets—a national leader in custom home storage solutions. We specialize in transforming chaotic spaces into organized, beautiful environments. We are expanding our presence in the region and are seeking a creative, sales-driven individual to grow with us. The Opportunity: We are seeking a Designer Sales Consultant with a creative vision and a hunter mentality. In this role, you will design and sell premium home organization solutions (closets, pantries, home offices, and more). You will work directly with homeowners via in-home consultations and build professional networks with Architects, Builders, and Interior Designers. Compensation & Pay Structure (Please Read) We invest heavily in your success from Day 1. • Phase 1 (First 90 Days): You will be hired as a trainee with a guaranteed base salary while you complete our second-to-none onboarding and learn our proprietary design systems. • Phase 2 (Post-Training): Upon successful completion of the 90-day training period, you will transition to a 1099 Independent Subcontractor. • Earning Potential: After the transition, this becomes a 100% Commission-Based role with uncapped earning potential. We provide ongoing leads and book appointments for you to ensure you can maximize your income immediately. Typical first-year earnings range from $50-90K, with top performers earning 100K+ annually. What You Will Do • Consult & Design: Travel to client homes to assess their storage needs, measure spaces, and use our design software to create 3D designs of their dream solutions. • Close the Sale: Present your creative solutions to clients, handle objections, and close the deal. • Network: Self-generate new business by building relationships with local builders, remodelers, interior designers, and others in your network • Manage the Sales Cycle: Maintain timely, appropriate contact and follow-up with clients throughout the sales process to deliver a 5-star branded experience. Who You Are • Experienced: You have 3+ years of sales experience (B2C/In-home sales preferred). Note: While prior sales success is required, we are willing to consider candidates with comparable high-level customer service or design experience. • Tech-Savvy: You have excellent computer skills and are willing to learn new 3D design software. • Creative: You have an eye for space planning and design. • Empathetic: You understand that great sales come from listening to clients and addressing their specific pain points. • Self-Starter: You are high-energy, organized, and capable of managing your own schedule and pipeline. Requirements • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for in-home visits). • Willingness to transition to a 1099 Commission-only structure after 90 days. • Ability to work a flexible, 9-5 workday (with the occasional Saturday) to accommodate client appointments. • Ability to work trade shows (on a Saturday or Sunday) a few times a year.
