Designer Job at Floor

Role Overview: As a Designer at Floor & Decor, you will provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. Key Responsibilities: • Meet with customers to understand their project needs and educate them on the requirements for their project. • Build creative design concepts that incorporate customers' personal style, lifestyle, and budget. • Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals. • Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects. • Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions. • Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, communicating effectively with customers and store employees. • Collaborate with store leadership and employees to achieve sales and other goals. Requirements: • Minimum one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience. • Degree in Design is a plus. • Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus. • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions: • Limited travel may be required by car. • Frequent exposure to a warehouse environment and moderate to noisy work conditions. Physical/Sensory Requirements: Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
