About this role

As a Designer 3, you will execute the design process from start to finish, manage construction documentation, and coordinate with consultants to maintain design integrity. You will stay on trend with new materials and support client meetings by preparing presentations and showcasing design materials. What You’ll Need: • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (or related field) • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing creative, standout interiors. • Proficiency with design software like Revit, CAD, InDesign, SketchUp, and Photoshop and coordination tools like Smartsheet and Bluebeam. • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects that represents your personality as a designer, so we can see how your story fits into the great Vida team. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. • A strong understanding of interior construction, building codes, and accessibility standards, ensuring designs are both beautiful and functional. What You'll Do: • Bring the Design Magic: execute the design process from start to finish under your Design Manager’s leadership, from sketches to 3D models. Collaborate with the team to bring creative concepts to life and ensure projects are executed seamlessly. • Shape the Details: Manage construction documentation (CDs) and be hands-on with redlining, consultant coordination, and maintaining design integrity across all phases. • Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with designers, contractors, and consultants to ensure everything is coordinated and on point. Your organizational skills will shine as you help maintain clear, up-to-date project files. • Stay on Trend: Keep your finger on the pulse of new materials, finishes, lighting, and design trends. Be a resource for your team and bring fresh ideas to the table. • Enhance our presentation experience: Support client meetings by preparing presentations, answering questions, and showcasing design materials. Compensation: • $65,000 - $80,000 / Year. • Compensation within the salary range will be determined by various factors, such as relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and the needs of the business or organization. Hiring Locations: We are open to candidates based in the Portland, OR area and are able to work a hybrid model of being in office 3 days a week with the team or candidates based in the Seattle, WA area who have the ability to travel to the Portland area on occasion.
