About this role

Common and Baseline ResponsibilitiesProvides assistance throughout the interior design process under routine guidance; contributes to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in interior design, execution, and living design. Begins to understand the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts.Participates in preparing contract documents, including but not limited to floor plans and details, reflected ceiling plans, mill work design, furniture layouts, finish plans, and schedules. Assists in creating presentation materials and models for client presentations.Learns to manipulate basic design elements such as spatial layout, color, light, texture, and scale.Researches manufacturers and contributes to selection of colors, finishes, materials, furniture, and lighting for interior application, ensuring sustainability goals of the firm are maintained.Contributes to programming and space planning analysis and provides area calculations.Gains exposure to knowledge of project scope, budgets, and deliverables.Uses a creative approach to perform tasks and responsibilities on projects in an organized, timely, and consistent way. Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual. Proactively asks questions and expresses curiosity about the world of design, materials, and products as well as the industry at large. Provides support to tasks within project teams (may focus on individual detailed tasks) and studio activities. Participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups. Keeps open communication within team and with designated team leader.Communicates ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others.Assists with coordination among partners and consultants.
