Designer I: Basic Job Requirements (Education and/or Job Experience): ASMET or equivalent degree with 5 years of design experience or formal design drafting training and 8 years of design experience. General Job/Function Responsibility: You are directly responsible for cooperating with all other company personnel, assisting them whenever possible and helping them succeed. Your actions and performance of duties as directed are expected to contribute to the company's success. Designers support manufacturing and projects for product improvement and new products. As a Designer I you are to support these initiatives and take on product responsibilities. Specific Job Duties: · Support manufacturing. · To become an expert in the assigned products. · To design products and components in cooperation with other department personnel. · Utilize 2D and 3D software to effectively produce designs and prototypes. · Make sketches, graphs, and other work as required. · Maintain drawing files, ECO records, and produce ECO's and documentation as required. · Setup and run tests as appropriate. · Assist company personnel in returned product analysis and analysis of production problems. · Assist Marketing, Product Support, and Customer Support as needed. · Assist with cost reduction program and production improvement as required. · Continually improve your knowledge and skills in areas that complement your assigned products. · Enact any directive from the Engineering Supervisor or your supervisor.
