About this role

Kelly Wearstler is seeking talented, detail-oriented, and self-motivated FF&E Interior Designers at both the Mid and Senior levels to join our award-winning studio. Our projects span luxury hospitality, private residential estates, and high-end restaurants, and we’re looking for individuals who bring a refined aesthetic, strong technical skills, and an intuitive understanding of materiality and form. These roles are ideal for passionate designers ready to contribute meaningfully to a highly creative, fast-paced environment where design excellence and innovation are paramount. Key Responsibilities – All Levels • Collaborate closely with internal teams, architects, contractors, artisans, and vendors to develop and execute exceptional designs. • Source and specify materials, custom furnishings, finishes, and lighting. • Create graphic and visual presentations, mood boards, and FF&E documentation. • Support project timelines and maintain budget adherence. • Assist in the creation of specification books, schedules, and support construction administration tasks including submittals, RFIs, ASIs/IDSKs, and consultant coordination. • Participate in all phases of the design process including concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation, procurement, and installation. Mid-Level Designer Requirements • 4–8 years of experience in FF&E-focused interior design, with a strong portfolio in luxury residential and/or hospitality. • Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage small projects or segments of large projects. • Experience mentoring junior designers a plus. • Salary range: $100K – $110K annually. Senior Designer Requirements • 8–10 years of experience leading high-end FF&E design projects across hospitality and residential sectors. • Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee full project scopes. • High-level project management skills and California construction administration experience preferred. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. • Salary range: $125K – $135K annually.
