JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Designer / Design Center Manager to oversee the daily operations of our design center. This role combines artistic vision with strong management skills to deliver exceptional design solutions that meet client needs and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design, possess excellent leadership qualities, and have a proven track record in design environments.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Lead buyers through the décor and design selections process. Schedule and manage all design sessions, previews, and follow-up appointments. Provide décor for specs and present to sales and leadership for approval. Prepare décor pricing, process change request and produce drawings as needed. Collaborate with the RDoP on product reviews, updates, and recommended changes. Produce and distribute a weekly Décor Status Report to leadership and sales. Attend Starts and Closings weekly meetings.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum five years of work in a business environment and homebuilding is preferred. Knowledge of home-building processes, reading blueprints, and related materials. Proficiency in typing, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Demonstrated leadership ability. Self-starter with good analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate clearly. Positive outlook and friendly attitude. Willingness to go beyond in performing responsibilities and finding ways to improve operations.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design preferred but not required
• Interior design experience required
• Additional education and professional development courses are also desirable
