Designer Assistant

Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and motivated Designer Assistant to join our team specializing in luxury Italian cabinetry and high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in architectural design, interior design, or Italian cabinetry and is comfortable working with AutoCAD. This position will work closely with our designers to support projects from the initial design stages through installation, while developing the skills and experience needed to grow into a Designer role. Key Responsibilities: Assist designers with the development and preparation of cabinetry designs and project drawings. Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings based on project requirements. Assist with measurements, layouts, specifications, and project documentation. Help designers coordinate details and revisions with clients, vendors, and team members. Participate in job site visits to assist with measurements, project coordination, and follow-up as needed. Support designers throughout the project to help keep projects organized and moving forward. Become familiar with our Italian cabinetry collections, materials, finishes, and technical details. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout each project. Provide support to the design team as needed to ensure an exceptional client experience. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in architectural design, interior design, cabinetry design, or a related field. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD. Background or experience with Italian cabinetry, custom cabinetry, interior design, or architectural design. Ability to read and understand architectural plans and technical drawings. Fluent English is required. Spanish is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Willingness to participate in site visits and work in the field when needed. Professional presentation and a genuine interest in luxury design. Ability to work Monday through Saturday, with one weekday off. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or drafting station. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, drafting tools, and office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching during client consultations and site visits. Ability to lift and carry samples, catalogs, and presentation materials weighing up to 20 pounds. Visual acuity to read detailed drawings, plans, and color samples accurately.
