Designer

About the position Responsibilities • Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs. • Schedule design appointments for customers and develop clientele through networking and referrals. • Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects. • Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions. • Manage multiple customer projects with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring consistent communication. • Collaborate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation. • Support company initiatives and model best practices with store employees. • Engage in current and emerging design trends in the market. • Utilize design applications such as Salesforce and Online Design Appointment Scheduler. Requirements • Minimum of one year of interior design or prior retail/sales experience. • Degree in Design is a plus. • Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus. • Proficient in basic mathematical skills. • Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite. • Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.
