Hanney & Associates Architects is a boutique firm with a rich and diverse portfolio, bringing decades of experience to projects of all types and scales. For this in-person role, we are looking for a candidate who can grow with us. Candidates at all experience levels are welcome to apply. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer to work on architectural projects located throughout the Midwest. Our work is primarily schools, churches, municipal buildings, and fitness centers. The ideal candidate will have experience in interior design, space planning, materials and finishes, and construction documentation, with the ability to collaborate closely with our architectural team throughout the design and construction process. Responsibilities Developing interior design concepts, space plans, finish selections, and interior elevationsProducing and reviewing interior construction documents and drawingsResearching and selecting materials, finishes, furnishings, and interior productsCollaborating with architects, consultants, contractors, and the internal design teamAssisting with presentations, client meetings, and design developmentRequirements Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or a related fieldProficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD (primarily) and Revit (a plus)Strong understanding of interior construction, materials, finishes, and construction drawingsStrong attention to detail and an interest in thoughtful, functional designPreferred Skills: AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Bluebeam, Microsoft WordFamiliarity with building codes, accessibility standards, and interior constructionAt our firm, every team member plays an important role.
