Job Title: Senior Interior Designer
Our organization is seeking a senior interior designer to join our team. As a key member of our studio, you will be responsible for developing project design direction in coordination with leadership.
Responsibilities
• Develop project design direction in coordination with leadership
• Understand and formulate design concepts and present to clients
• Direct projects of all sizes and levels of complexity
• Provide design leadership to project teams
• Responsible for schematic design work
• Participate in the design control of projects in the design development, construction document, and supervision phases
• Provide direction to junior interior designers
• Integrate design requirements with architecture
• Prepare and develop drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design
• Coordinate internal design teams for projects
• Select and coordinate products and finishes for projects that meet project sustainability goals
• Provide branding concepts for architectural projects
• Provide design direction for furniture and coordinate with furniture dealers to implement
Requirements
• Minimum 10+ years' experience
• Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design (BS/BA/BFA/MA/MFA)
• Strong interior design and leadership skills, demonstrating progressive responsibilities in all phases of architecture projects
• Substantial experience in innovative design of complex, large-scale workplace projects
• Excellent Revit skills
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, Adobe applications, and Rhino
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills
• Experience in construction phase
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques
• Registered or pursuing registration preferred, LEED AP plus
• Strong planning skills are valuable
• Excellent knowledge of furniture, furniture systems, and interior finishes
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team
