Lead Interior Designer Position
This role is responsible for overseeing the design team and delivering a seamless consultative design service to customers.
• We are seeking a highly skilled individual to lead our interior design team, providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth through innovative designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• To collaborate with customers to understand their project needs and provide expert advice on interior design solutions.
• To create engaging and personalized design concepts that incorporate customers' personal style, lifestyle, and budget requirements.
• To maintain up-to-date knowledge of interior design trends, materials, and products to ensure the highest quality designs.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field; alternatively, 6 years of interior design experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with expertise in design software such as SketchUp, Autodesk Revit, or similar.
• Prior retail/sales experience is preferred, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Familiarity with flooring products and materials is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
Working Conditions:
• This position requires limited travel by car, with occasional exposure to warehouse environments and moving vehicles.
Physical/Sensory Requirements:
This role involves medium-level physical activity, requiring the ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and occasionally stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
