Design Studio Consultant - Greenville

Job Details Job Location Greenville Office - Greenville, SC Description JOB PURPOSE: Assists the Design Studio Manager while providing excellent customer service, this position may work individually with customers as they select interior options and upgrades. Duties and Responsibilities • Under the direction of the Design Studio Manager, may work with new home customers to select interior finishes such as cabinets, counters, flooring and lighting • May advise customers on interior design functions (with respect to color, functionality, budget) • May research custom requests by obtaining information on materials • May meet with vendors as needed • Responsible for complete and accurate paperwork related to customer selections • Create paperwork for all Quick Move-In homes • Arrange appointment times/dates with new home customers; greet customers upon arrival to the Design Studio • Other duties as assigned or expected QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and Skills • Strong creative ability (Background in Interior Design is preferred) • Excellent presentation skills • Well organized and self-directed • Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail • Strong computer skills • Able to establish priorities and meeting deadlines • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands • Must be current with design trends in a variety of styles • Must have ability to read and understand architectural and structural blueprints • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends in a part time capacity • Strong computer skills with MS Office and / or Builder Sales System Education and Work Experience • High school diploma or equivalent and Interior Design Certificate or some college level interior design coursework; or 3 years of selling experience in design center or retail design center; or combination of education and equivalent work experience • Prior experience in new home sales or design Studios is preferred
