Job Summary of Design Solutions Consultant:
Engagement with clients in the store environment is a key responsibility of the Design Solutions Consultant at Floor & Decor. They provide guidance on selecting suitable tile, wood, stone, and accessories for various design projects, while also conducting one-on-one design sessions to understand the specific needs of customers. Furthermore, they work closely with store executives to drive sales performance and elevate the reputation of the design services provided.
Qualifications of Design Solutions Consultant:
• A minimum of 12 months of retail or customer service background is necessary
• A high school diploma or GED certification is a fundamental requirement for pursuing further education or entering the workforce
• Capable in foundational mathematical abilities
• Gaining basic computer knowledge involves learning how to navigate the Microsoft Office suite
• Demonstrating self-drive and adeptness at handling multiple tasks simultaneously within a high-speed work environment
• In-house candidates are required to have a minimum of six months of service with Floor & Decor
Responsibilities of Design Solutions Consultant:
• Greet store customers and support walk-in design needs
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers and develop clientele through networking, referrals, and store-generated leads
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with accuracy, timeliness, and consistent communication
• Collaborate and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation and achieve sales goals
• Support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees
• Utilize design applications such as Salesforce, Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and MyProject
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Must have the capacity to sit, squat, or stand for prolonged periods; frequently expected to be on one?? feet, move, stretch with arms and hands, climb or stabilize balance, and bend, kneel, stoop, or crawl
