About this role

Do you have an interest in retail, design, customer service, and creating exceptional experiences? The Shoppe at C. Taylor Interiors, is seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented individual to join the team. While we are a full-service design firm, we also maintain a retail shoppe specializing in luxury home decor & accessories. We are looking for someone to oversee and manage its day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate possesses a flair for design, loves working with people, and enjoys handling multiple roles. Key Responsibilities: Retail Specialist: • Provide exceptional customer service on the sales floor, guiding customers through product selections. • Foster strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals. • Maintain product knowledge and stay updated on new inventory and product lines • Manage restocking, product displays, and visual merchandising. • Work closely with the team to create seasonal or themed displays that showcase our products in the best light. • Ensure displays are refreshed regularly to keep the store fresh and inviting. • Conceive and execute marketing strategies for retail promotion. • Receive, inspect and price inventory (must be able to lift moderately heavy boxes). • Conduct opening and closing procedures for the Shoppe Social Media: • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.). • Manage social media calendars, ensuring consistent and on-brand messaging. • Expand our online community and work to drive engagement. Event Planning: • Coordinate and execute in-store events, launches, and special promotions. • Assist in managing event logistics including registrations, setup, and guest engagement. Design Team Assistant: • Help organize workroom samples and maintain organization and cleanliness of Shoppe and workroom • Assist design team in scheduling client and vendor appointments • File and maintain client information and project samples • Other design team tasks as needed for client presentations and installations • Help Design Team organize and prepare for client presentations using Power Point or ideally having previous Sketchup or other design & presentation software. Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will have • Experience in retail, event planning, marketing, or interior design (preferred but not required). • Strong social media skills and familiarity with platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs and experience with point of sale software. • Creativity, attention to detail, self motivation and initiative. • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Proactive, team-oriented, and adaptable to evolving responsibilities. • Ability to work at least 2 Saturdays per month Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Expected hours: 22 – 30 per week Benefits: • Employee discount Shift: • Day shift Application Question(s): • Are you proficient with Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point Experience: • Retail: 1 year (Preferred) • Social media management: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: • Greenville, SC 29607 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Greenville, SC 29607: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
