Description As a Design Manager, you will lead and deliver a variety of project types and sizes through all phases. Skills • Design and project management experience • Strong leadership and communication skills • Knowledge of all phases of interior design/architectural projects • Client service and account leadership skills • Adaptability and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in Revit • Experience managing consultant teams and resolving complex issues Responsibilities • Develop and nurture positive relationships with existing client contacts • Maintain awareness of clients’ business objectives and market trends • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget • Lead cross-functional project teams and manage project processes • Prepare and monitor work plans, budgets, and deliverables • Prepare and review proposals and contracts • Coordinate with consultants and resolve problems in consultation with leadership • Support new business development initiatives • Contribute to project reports and staffing meetings • Review project accounting documents • Work with marketing to document project stories Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture • 10+ years of experience in the field • Registration as an Interior Designer or Architect • Design competence with knowledge of building codes • Strong programming and space planning skills Education Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture Education Requirements Credential Category • Professional Degree in relevant design discipline Experience Requirements • At least 10 years of experience in design and project management • Proven experience managing consultant teams and resolving complex issues Why work in Houston, TX Houston offers a vibrant and diverse culture, rich with opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
