Design Intern (Architectural/Interior Design)

Position: Summer Intern - Architectural and Interior Design Services Location: Plano, TX Start Date: ASAP - This position will be a paid hourly W-2 part time position. Job Description: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Intern to join our team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a student passionate about residential architecture and interior design to gain hands-on experience in the field. You will work closely with our team and contributors and designers on various stages of design and execution, providing you with a comprehensive view of the industry. There will be several internal projects that you will be working on and will spend time on active construction project jobsites. Responsibilities: Assist project teams in the development of architectural and interior design projects from concept through to completion. Participate in client meetings and presentations. Communicate project details and expectations with engineers and general contractors. Visit job sites to observe construction progress, understand project logistics, and assist with documentation. Engage with suppliers and contractors to understand materials and products used in our projects. Support the marketing of the business with social media content creation, showcasing our projects and design philosophy. Perform administrative and organizational tasks to support project delivery. Engage in research activities related to new materials, design trends, and sustainable practices. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, Engineering or related program. Attention to detail, and. Basic proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to speak Spanish would is helpful but not required. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction. Eager to learn and contribute to projects with a proactive attitude. Social media savvy with an understanding of how to engage audiences. Will be required to have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle and active insurance.
