About this role

Duties & Essential Functions: ● Interior Design ○ Support environment for creative development and visioning process ○ Continuously define and support design phases, processes and flow ○ Oversee presentation, interior specification packages, design book, art books, accessory design, plant specs and installation expectations ○ Forecasting, scheduling and prioritizing projects and tasks to meet company goals ○ Responsible for FF&E and design labor budgets, ensuring real time communication to adjust or troubleshoot potential overages ● Installation and Project Closeouts ○ Attend and lead project installations, which may include travel in and out of town ○ Update, promote and monitor post installation (follow up, photos, inventory, archiving, etc.) policies to expedite last phase of a project ● Staff ○ Hold Design Team accountable using job descriptions, expectations of their positions, and documented design procedures, taking appropriate action when performance improvement is necessary ○ Train and mentor Design Project Managers (DPM), and all designers for growth and development to meet company and team demands ○ Conduct training as needed (New and Ongoing WIN Policies/Brand) ● Overall Design Department and Company Wide Support ○ Work in close collaboration with all Designers ○ Continually improve the quality of our design, the way we deliver it and the process we employ to attain it. ○ Build and nurture new relationships with a broad client base ○ Design, research, specify, and document interior finishes ○ Perform ongoing quality control to meet company standards ○ Procure supplies and oversee set up for remote and in office presentations ○ Perform additional duties as needed that serve our clients and benefit the company. Qualifications & Requirements: ● 8 plus years’ experience in design ● Interior design experience in project management to meet milestones and goals ● Training & mentoring abilities ● Knowledge of budget controls ● Construction knowledge preferred ● Proven expertise in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc. ● Furniture design, plant design, Art/Accessory design, technical design skills ● Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills ● Strong communication and active listening skills ● Critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify appropriate solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems ● Using judgment and decision-making skills to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential options and select the best course of action Company DescriptionWithin Design emphasizes working with integrity, purpose and a strong commitment to client and team relationships.
