About this role

Marina Hanisch Interiors is published boutique interior design firm specializing in luxury high end residential interior design. We are currently seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic highly motivated, passionate, polished and creative individual that has a desire to grow with the company as a key member of our team... This role requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Interior Designer will clearly coordinate expectations, timelines, budgets, design decisions, vendor communication and all project deliverables. Responsibilities include all aspects of running a successful project including but not limited to: Drafting, sourcing materials for presentations, client and vendor meetings, construction management, initial concepts, installations, problem solving, drafting proposals and the maintaining of delivery schedules. All applicants should be highly organized, detail oriented and be comfortable working independently problem solving. Possess ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure. Be proactive when difficult problems arise and take responsibility for one's own work. JOB REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline • Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in an interior design firm • Knowledge of FF&E • Knowledge of furniture specifications JOB SKILLS • Work with design team to develop design solutions in keeping with company principals • Research concepts and materials needed for design development • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, furniture and all installations • Prepare and participate in client presentations • Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of other design programs helpful • Ivy knowledge a plus • Liaise with client representatives, legal teams, project managers, subcontractors, vendors & other 3rd parties • Oversee production of all custom furnishings, manage all relevant manufacturers, and insure timely delivery of product for job installations Please submit a portfolio of your work and a resume.
