p style="text-align:left"ubPay Range/b/u/p$17.25 - $21.00p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/ppubPurpose:/b/u/ppThe Design Consultant at Floor amp; Decor is the entry point into design and is responsible for engaging customers on the sales floor to support their design projects, conduct design appointments with customers to determine design needs in the selection of tile, wood, stone, and accessory products of various colors textures, patterns, and design. The Design Consultant will also partner with store leaders to maximize sales goals and expand the design services brand./pp/ppubMinimum Eligibility Requirements/b/u/pullispan1#43; years of retail/customer service experience/span/liliHigh school diploma and or GED/liliProficient in basic mathematical skills/liliMust be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment/liliBasic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite/lilispanInternal candidates a minimum of 6 months with Floor and Decor /span/li/ulp/ppubEssential Functions/b/u/pulliGreet store customers in a helpful manner and supports store design walk-in needs/liliSchedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store/liliProviding tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects./liliDesign and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions/liliManage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and follow-up including consistent and concise communication to customers and others. Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are required/liliCollaborate, partner and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation, and achieve sales and other goals/liliEnthusiastically support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees/liliResponsible for understanding and utilizing design applications i.e.; Salesforce, proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and MyProject /liliPerform other duties as assigned/li/ulp/ppubWorking Conditions (travel, hours, environment)/b/u/pulliLimited travel may be required by car/liliWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy./li/ulp/ppubPhysical/Sensory Requirements/b/u/ppMedium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
