About this role

Job Summary: The Design Consultant at Floor & Decor is responsible for engaging customers on the sales floor to support their design projects and conducting design appointments to determine design needs in the selection of tile, wood, stone, and accessory products. This role partners with store leaders to maximize sales goals and expand the design services brand. Qualifications: • Minimum of 1 year of retail/customer service experience • High school diploma and/or GED • Proficient in basic mathematical skills • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite • Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Internal candidates must have a minimum of 6 months with Floor & Decor Responsibilities: • Greet store customers and support walk-in design needs • Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers and develop clientele through networking, referrals, and store-generated leads • Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects • Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions • Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with accuracy, timeliness, and consistent communication • Collaborate and communicate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation and achieve sales goals • Support all company initiatives and goals by modeling and coaching best practices with store employees • Utilize design applications such as Salesforce, Online Design Appointment Scheduler, and MyProject • Perform additional duties as assigned Benefits: • Bonus opportunities at every level • Career advancement opportunities • Relocation opportunities across the country • 401k with discretionary company match • Employee Stock Purchase Plan • Referral Bonus Program • 80 hrs. annualized paid vacation (full-time associates) • 4 paid holidays per year (full-time hourly store associates only) • 1 paid personal holiday of associate's choice and Volunteer Time Off program • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and other Insurance Plans (subject to eligibility criteria) Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment): • Limited travel may be required by car • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
