Design Consultant

Company Overview: Felt Right is seeking a Full-Time Design Consultant to join our team in Bluffdale, UT. As a Design Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting residential and commercial design projects, collaborating with clients, designers, and sales representatives. If you’re passionate about design and eager to learn, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow in the world of interior design, acoustics, and manufacturing. We are looking for a full-time designer available to work in-house in our Bluffdale, UT office 40 hours per week, 5 days a week. Responsibilities: • Create custom designs and graphics for customers in Adobe Illustrator and Felt Right’s online Design Studio. • Collaborate on commercial interior projects and assist with takeoffs, quotes, and design/acoustic recommendations. • Develop cut and print files for custom projects using Adobe Illustrator. • Utilize 2D and 3D conceptual skills to communicate and visualize design ideas and directions. • Work closely with customers to interpret and design in a wide variety of aesthetics beyond your own personal style. • Maintain effective written and verbal communication, and participate confidently in video and voice calls. Qualifications: • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or similar design software). • Comfortable with Google Sheets/Excel. • Ability to render and mock up professional-looking designs. • Experience in Interior Design and/or Graphic or Product Design is preferred. • Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, detail oriented. Skills You'll Learn on the Job: • Familiarity with the Felt Right website and Design Studio. • Understanding of acoustics and how they apply to interior design. • Experience using Shopify for design-related projects. • Insight into manufacturing and fulfillment processes (CNC machinery, industrial printing, shipping).
