About this role
Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Landscape Design Associate to join our collaborative studio. The ideal candidate brings at least 2-4 years of experience, and a strong design sensibility grounded in ecological systems, regional identity, and spatial craft. This role supports project leadership across all phases, from concept to construction, and requires a balance of creativity, technical proficiency, and communication skills.
The position involves working on a range of project types, with a particular emphasis on high-end residential landscapes that are immersive, site-specific, and refined. Our work is rooted in the use of native ecologies, local materials, and context-driven design strategies, resulting in places that are timeless, resilient, and deeply integrated with their surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:
· Contribute to the development of conceptual and schematic design through site analysis, narrative development, and iterative design exploration.
· Translate design intent into detailed design documents, including grading, planting, and materials plans.
· Lead the production of presentation graphics, diagrams, renderings, and illustrative plans.
· Coordinate with internal teams, architects, planners, and consultants to ensure design integration and technical accuracy.
· Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and budgets under the guidance of senior staff.
· Support the preparation of construction documents and specifications in coordination with technical staff.
· Participate in client presentations, community engagement sessions, and design workshops.
· Format and produce polished concept presentations in InDesign, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with project narratives and brand standards.
· Conduct research on planting palettes, sustainable systems, and material innovations to inform design.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
· 2-4 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, ideally within a design-focused studio.
· Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp); knowledge of Revit and Lumion is a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and translate ideas into compelling visuals.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
