Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Assistant with strong AutoCAD expertise to support our design team in producing high-quality technical drawings and assisting in the execution of luxury residential and/or commercial projects.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about interior design who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and values precision as much as creativity.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and revise detailed AutoCAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, layouts)
• Translate design concepts into accurate technical documentation
• Assist in space planning and layout development
• Prepare drawing packages for client presentations and contractor coordination
• Conduct site measurements and update drawings accordingly
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and consultants as required
• Assist with FF&E selections, material boards, and schedules
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawing registers
• Support senior designers throughout project phases from concept to installation
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D is an advantage)
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Drafting
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and construction detailing
• Experience in residential or commercial interior projects
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or rendering software
• Experience preparing joinery/shop drawings
• Understanding of materials, finishes, and specifications
• Site coordination experience

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
