Design Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our creative team! In this role, you will support the design process from conceptualization through to detailed documentation, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and accurately. You will collaborate closely with senior designers, project managers, and clients to bring innovative ideas to life, primarily focusing on residential interior design and remodeling projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, creative environment dedicated to excellence in interior design. Responsibilities Assist in creating detailed construction documents, drawings, and specifications using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.Develop 3D models and renderings for architectural visualization and client presentations utilizing Adobe Photoshop, 3ds Max, or similar graphic design software.Support project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors for renovation and remodeling projects.Assist in client communication by preparing CAD presentations, mood boards, color schemes based on color theory principles, and other visual materials.Experience Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp. We will train on transposing cabinetry designs into Mozaik software.Experience in 3D modeling for architectural design including renderings that effectively communicate design concepts.Knowledge of interior design principles, lighting design techniques, color theory, and graphic presentation skills.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration in a professional art or design environment.Join us if you’re passionate about transforming spaces through innovative design solutions!
