About this role

Design Assistant Washington, DC (In-Office Position) Annie Elliott Design is seeking a full-time, in-office Design Assistant to join our growing team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on high-end residential projects while supporting the administrative functions of a busy design firm. Responsibilities Design Support: - Order paint, fabric, and wallpaper swatches - Obtain pricing information from manufacturers and showrooms - Enter product information, photographs, and net pricing into Studio Webware - Obtain quotes and generate merchandise proposals - Draft furniture plans in SketchUp - Assist with Trade Days: site measurements, photographs, and communications with trades - Prepare and organize design presentations (PPT and materials) - Meet tradespeople at client homes to provide direction and check work - Assist with furniture installations and photo shoots - Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and contractors to ensure timely delivery Administrative Support: - Answer phones, check voicemail, and manage the info@ email account - Maintain vendor and client contact information in Studio Webware/CRM - Retrieve and open mail/packages; run errands as needed (return samples, deliveries, post office, etc.) - Order office supplies and manage sample libraries - Generate client invoices and time billing reports; deposit checks - Assist with special marketing projects (holiday cards, client gifts, events, etc.) - Provide general office organization and project file management Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree (Interior Design or Architecture preferred) - Proficiency in Google Suite; Studio Webware experience preferred - Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (DC Metro area travel required) - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing directives - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Professional, mature, and client-focused demeanor - Collaborative team mindset - Commitment to Annie Elliott Design’s core values: Precision, Professionalism, Quality, Kindness, and Joy Benefits - Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) - Health insurance reimbursement - Paid time off - Opportunities for professional development and growth How to Apply Please submit your resume, cover letter, and portfolio (if available) to emma@annieelliottdesign.com
