Position Summary Looking for an energetic and creative individual to join our Merchandising team. This position will play a key role in supporting the team with various projects related to model home design and installation, interior finishes, sales office design and exterior color selection for communities across the country.ResponsibilitiesSupport Model Home DesignInventory & organize stock fabric for future useCheck stock & Order memos of fabric and finishes for Design LibraryCheck stock and price on selected itemsAssist in reselectionsPack and ship accessories for out of state installsLite AutoCAD draftingAssist on model installations - Travel up to 25%Support Interior Finish DesignInventory and Organize interior finish materialsAssist in packaging and shipping sample kits to out of state sales officesCreate digital mood boards for finish packagesAssist in creating model interior finish packages including flooring and tile diagramsAssist in reselections of backordered itemsSupport Exterior Color DesignInventory and Organize paint samples and exterior stonesAssist in putting together exterior color matrixesOrder paint books, review for accuracy, ship to appropriate locationsSupport Sales Office and Electrical Layout DesignDraft office layouts based on standard templatesDraft model home layouts based on structural option requestsSupport Purchasing TeamAssist with ordering and expediting interior furnishings for model homes and sales officesAssist in reconciliation of vendor statementsAssist in coordination of department credit card statementsData entry, filing, and administrative support for merchandising departmentRequirementsEducation: Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or currently enrolled in a programMust possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.Must be an organized, self-starter and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be flexible and able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe and AutoCAD.
