Design Assistant

Design firm looking for dynamic new member for team. Interested in design and collaborating with an established, professional firm where you’ll have exposure to new ideas and opportunity to grow? -Strong candidate for this position would have some previous experience working with a design firm or in a busy, fast paced environment. -Comfort working with people, being a quick thinker and problem solver and enjoying a changing to do list from day to day would be key. -Would be an added bonus if you have proficiency in CAD and/or familiarity with Chief Architect. If so, we might invest in training you more in that area of our process so you could contribute from that perspective. -Ability to keep organized, use critical thinking skills, and anticipate needs for our team are important as we are a busy firm and have a lot of different projects going on at once. -A creative drive and perspective to share opinions and feedback very welcome and encouraged. -Communication skills must be strong - we are looking for someone who can get the job done but who also knows when to stop and ask questions -This is preferably a full time position with Monday - Friday scheduling and the willingness to help the team with small events and support on the retail floor. -Opportunity for growth right at your fingertips for someone driven and excited to learn. -Familiarity with pulling manufacturer specifications a plus. -Any basic client management or vendor management skills a plus. This is a small business that does really beautiful work, but it takes a team to make things “go” so a candidate with an appreciation for flexibility, learning, and diving into new things is critical for this to be a successful match. After first 90 days of employment an internal review will occur in order to assess next steps with your position and trajectory for more in depth training.
