Design Advisor

Pay Range: $17.25 - $21.00 Purpose: As a Design Advisor at Floor & Decor, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking design support. Your role involves engaging with customers on the sales floor, conducting design appointments to identify their needs, and guiding them in selecting the perfect tile, wood, stone, and accessory products. Collaborate with store leaders to achieve sales goals and elevate our design services brand. Minimum Eligibility Requirements: • 1+ years of retail or customer service experience. • High school diploma or GED. • Proficient in basic math skills. • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite. • For internal candidates, a minimum of 6 months with Floor & Decor. Essential Functions: • Welcome customers in a friendly manner and assist with design inquiries. • Schedule design appointments for customers and develop a clientele through networking, referrals, and leads. • Advise homeowners, interior designers, and builders on tile, wood, stone, and accessory selections for residential and commercial projects. • Create and sell cohesive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing design solutions. • Manage multiple customer projects efficiently, maintaining high accuracy and timely follow-up. Consistent communication with customers and utilization of company tools is essential. • Collaborate with leadership and staff to manage projects from inquiry to installation, achieving sales goals. • Support company initiatives by modeling and sharing best practices. • Utilize design applications such as Salesforce and proprietary scheduling tools. • Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: • Some travel may be required. • Work is often performed in a warehouse environment with moderate to noisy conditions. Physical/Sensory Requirements: Medium work involving the ability to exert 20-50 pounds occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently. Duties require the use of hands and fingers, occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and kneeling.
