What We Seek in a Creative Interior Designer: • Develop imaginative and client-focused design plans. • Create detailed drawings and engaging 3D renderings using advanced design software. • Select suitable materials, furnishings, and finishes from La-Z-Boy’s customizable line. • Work collaboratively with the sales team and other professionals to ensure seamless execution of design concepts. • Effectively present design proposals to clients while welcoming their feedback. • Showcase a strong visual merchandising ability that reflects your creativity. • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in interior design. • Prepare clear presentations and maintain accurate project documentation. • Nurture positive client relationships through effective communication and project oversight. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in every project. What You’ll Need: • Interior Design associate degree or 3+ years of relevant experience. • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. • Leadership skills to execute and advance our Design program. • Willingness to train and mentor team members. • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Proficiency in design software. • A compelling portfolio showcasing your innovative design projects. • Solid understanding of space planning and color theory. • Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and ADA compliance. • Talent for managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines. • Attention to detail and refined aesthetic judgment. • Collaborative spirit and strong problem-solving aptitude. • Considerable knowledge about furniture, materials, and finishes.
