About the Opportunity At Clark Nexsen, we are seeking a creative Interior Design Intern to join our Virginia Beach office. As a part of our Summer Scholars program, you will be exposed to various design projects, collaborating with experienced professionals and contributing to innovative solutions. Job Description We are looking for an energetic and passionate individual who shares our commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and innovation. You will be involved in developing design concepts, creating visualizations, and participating in construction administration. Additionally, you will engage with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Responsibilities - Collaborate with project teams to develop design concepts, refine designs, and create construction documents - Utilize 3D modeling software to create visualizations, models, and graphics for presentations and analyses - Engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration - Participate in construction administration, reviewing submittals, and responding to contractor questions Requirements - Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a CIDA accredited program - Previous experience in an architectural or interior design practice is beneficial - Familiarity with 3D modeling, visualization, and graphics software is desired - Strong communication and problem-solving skills Benefits - Collaborative and engaging work environment - Opportunities for growth and professional development - Exposure to various design projects and technologies
