Creative Designer

Pay Range $19.39 - $26.05 Purpose: As a Creative Designer at Floor & Decor, you will provide exceptional consultative design services that foster lasting relationships and brand loyalty. Your role will involve engaging with customers, understanding their project needs, and crafting a personalized design concept that reflects their unique style, lifestyle, and budget. Minimum Eligibility Requirements • At least one year of experience in interior design or relevant retail/sales experience. • A degree in design is a plus. • Familiarity with hard surface flooring is an advantage. • Strong mathematical skills are required. • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Basic knowledge of computers, including the Microsoft Office suite. • Current employees must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant role. Essential Functions • Welcome store customers in a friendly manner and assist with their design inquiries. • Manage appointment scheduling for design consultations, leveraging networking and store-generated leads to develop a strong clientele. • Provide expert advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessory selections for both residential and commercial projects. • Design and present complete, functional, and visually appealing design solutions. • Oversee multiple customer projects with precision, ensuring timely follow-ups and clear communication. • Collaborate with store leadership and team members to manage projects from initial inquiry through to final installation, achieving sales and other goals. • Support company initiatives by modeling best practices for colleagues. • Stay updated on current and emerging design trends in the market. • Utilize design applications such as Salesforce and proprietary scheduling tools. • Perform additional responsibilities as needed. Working Conditions • Some travel may be required by car. • The work environment may involve exposure to warehouse settings and moving vehicles, with a generally moderate to noisy noise level. Physical/Sensory Requirements This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects ranging from 20-50 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently. You will need to use your hands and fingers to handle items, and occasionally stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
