We are recruiting on behalf of a respected, design-led interior architecture practice is seeking a Design Director to help shape the next chapter of its workplace platform. This firm believes the workplace is a strategic business tool - a catalyst for culture, performance, and growth. With a strong reputation across corporate interiors, the studio partners with forward-thinking organizations to translate business strategy into built environments that are human-centric, commercially intelligent, and design-driven. This is a pivotal leadership hire with real influence across studio culture and design evolution. The Role • Co-lead the evolution of the firm's design voice, philosophy, and standards • Act as creative authority across all projects, elevating overall design quality • Provide direction on concept development, design strategy, materiality, FFE, detailing, and constructability • Ensure final design outcomes consistently meet and exceed brand expectations • Drive consistency in tools, standards, and design processes across multiple offices • Mentor and develop designers at all levels, reinforcing a culture of excellence • Contribute directly to select high-profile projects where design leadership is critical • Support proposals, pursuits, and client interviews as a design subject matter expert • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to showcase thought leadership and award-winning work • Travel as required to strengthen cross-office alignment and studio integration Requirements • 13+ years' experience in Interior Design • Strong focus within commercial or workplace interiors • Registered Interior Designer • Strong portfolio demonstrating concept strength, innovation, and technical depth • Proven ability to bridge workplace strategy to compelling built outcomes • Deep understanding of detailing, constructability, ADA and building codes • Experience designing within budget and schedule constraints • Confident leading client presentations and senior-level design conversations • Natural mentor with the credibility to influence at leadership level • LEED CI and WELL accreditation (or willingness to obtain) • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Adobe Suite This is not a project-by-project role.
