About this role

Job Duty: • Create and execute innovative Corporate Interior Design solutions that provide a visually appealing and comfortable space for our clients, while ensuring projects meet budget and timeline targets. • Collaborate with project managers and clients to establish project programming, space planning, and specification of furniture and interior finishes within the allocated budget... • Review finish selections of consultants on projects and adjust project scopes with respect to budget. • Select appropriate furniture and finishes that meet the organization's standards for quality and cost while collaborating with outside consultants on large and complex capital projects. Essential Function: Yes Percentage of Time: 30 Job Duty: • Manage interior design projects from beginning to end, including authoring mid-level designs, managing staff, contractors, and vendors, and identifying opportunities for design improvements. • Establish project completion schedules in collaboration with project stakeholders and prioritize projects based on deadlines. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and field user questions related to assigned projects. • Verify the effect of existing conditions and hazardous materials issues on projects with necessary agencies. • Ensure construction complies with construction documents and/or installation drawings through site visits as required. • Provide move management services and document project status through written communication. Essential Function: Yes Percentage of Time: 25 Job Duty: • Allocate furniture budgets for assigned projects and coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely and effective furniture procurement. • Review furniture specifications and quotes for all projects and develop procurement processes for the Interior Design team. • Establish technical requirements and develop interior design standards for the selection of furniture and interior finishes for the entire organization. • Communicate with vendors to develop specifications, assemble quotes, and oversee deliveries and installations, document punch list items and follow up on completion. Essential Function: Yes Percentage of Time: 20 Job Duty: • Stay knowledgeable of and implement University and industry requirements, procedures, and standards by reviewing literature, attending conferences/training, and meeting with internal and external personnel. • Provide interior design services to projects assigned to the Design Services group that include space planning/ allocation, finish selections, and furniture specifications as needed.
