Commercial Interior Design Project Manager

Gresham Smith is a leader in commercial interior design, and we are seeking a talented Senior Commercial Interior Designer to join our team. As a Senior Commercial Interior Designer, you will lead design teams and contribute to project visioning, idea generation, and synthesis. You will participate in design charrettes, generate conceptual design studies, plans, and renderings, and expand on others' ideas to meet client goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for holistic design ideation, documentation from concept through construction administration, and understanding applicable codes and regulations. About the Role: This role requires a professional with experience leading design teams for Life and Work Places projects, including major end-user Headquarters projects in the Southeast. You will work collaboratively with the team to develop technical knowledge for complex and unique construction details. You will also progress in the practice of sustainable design, applying tools to gather metrics to inform and evaluate design solutions and material selections. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design/Architecture from an accredited university. • Professional licensure (NCIDQ) is required. • Minimum of 8 years of job-related design experience required. • Previous experience in Work Place/commercial interior design, preferably within an architectural firm, is required.
