For over a decade, we have strived to create some of the country’s most authentic spaces through collaboration with our clients and talented design team. We have an immediate opening for a creative and detail-oriented Commercial Designer for our commercial, hospitality, and multi-family projects. Job Description: Within Design emphasizes working with integrity, purpose and a strong commitment to client and team relationships. Our talented designers are at the heart of the process by visioning, designing, and coordinating the many details associated with realizing an outcome that aligns with our company and client’s brand. We are looking for a creative and detailed candidate with experience in interior architecture, solid working knowledge of FF&E design, construction details and ADA compliance. Job Responsibilities: • Ability to assist in the design and development of commercial projects. From concept presentations to construction documents, for both specs and FF&E. • Responsible for selection and specification of all project related items. From specs packages, including materials, lighting, plumbing, hardware, to FF&E, art and accessory packages. • Clear understanding of materials and applications, and comfortable reaching out to resources for constructability and execution. • Strong communication skills with a positive problem-solving attitude to get things done on time and on budget. • Good overall understanding of codes/ ADA and how it relates to commercial projects. From space planning to furniture design. • Strong organizational skills- creating and maintaining ongoing daily tasks up to date for Lead Designer/ Project Manager • Assist in construction administration phase, keeping on going log of reviewed/ received submittals and RFIs. • Always think ahead for job site visits, installs and any related function and help assist with all needed materials/ drawings/ documents for a successful outcome • Strong experience in soliciting bids for fabrication, installation, and arrangement of the materials, finishes, and furnishings required. • Responsible for schematic design, design development and construction documentation and deliverables, including Shop drawings for design intent, review mock-ups, materials, and finish samples • Perform site inspections for verification of design intent, furniture and other FF&E installations • Prepare contract documents and work with consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives. Qualifications and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture. • Minimum of 3 years of experience but prefer 5 years experience in designing interior projects for the commercial/hospitality industry and or multi-family, including restaurants. • Knowledge of custom furniture construction/upholstery methods. • Advanced knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, signage, art, and color schemes to carryout design intent. • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment on multiple projects in a fast paced environment. • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. • Aptitude for original design and problem-solving. • Strong technical skills and abilities. Digital & hand rendering skills are a plus. • Specification writing is a must • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign & Illustrator • Always find ways to stay on industry trends Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Paid time off • Referral program • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday • Overtime Work Location: In person
