Under the direct supervision of the Store Management team, the Color Consultant serves as the primary expert in assisting homeowners with designing color schemes and palettes. This role is essential in providing superior customer service and ensuring that clients receive professional advice tailored to their specific needs. The ideal candidate will be an Interior Design graduate or a student currently enrolled in a degree program, ensuring that customers benefit from knowledgeable guidance on the elements and principles of design. In this in-store role, the Color Consultant will engage with customers, utilizing outstanding communication skills to make connections and provide educated advice based on customer interactions. The position involves attending training classes and monthly store meetings to enhance the operations of the Color Advisor department. The Color Consultant will learn to use various sales aids, including the Dunn-Edwards Perfect Palette Color System and Adobe Photoshop for computer renderings, to effectively communicate product information and safety data to customers. The Color Consultant must be proactive in maintaining visibility on the sales floor, ready to assist customers at all times. Responsibilities also include processing orders, operating the cash register, and ensuring that the store is well-maintained. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage appointment schedules for in-store consultations, and provide feedback to management regarding customer service and training needs. This position is crucial for fostering a positive shopping experience and enhancing customer satisfaction through expert color consultation. Requirements • High school diploma or GED required. , • Interior Design degree or currently enrolled in a degree program is required. , • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. , • Ability to read and interpret professional publications. , • Ability to produce reports and business correspondence. , • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
