Careers in Interior Painting

As a Painter you will be part of the Maintenance Department Paint Shop and perform interior and exterior painting of buildings, fixtures and equipment. You will prepare surfaces for painting or staining, plaster cracks and marks, mix paints and stains, glaze and caulk windows and doors. You will also perform lead-based paint and asbestos abatement and encapsulation. This role requires thorough knowledge of skilled tasks in the painter trade and the ability to use sound judgement while efficiently completing assignments in a professional and safe manner. Work Schedule: • Full-time employment • 37.5 hours per week • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Additional Information: • Overtime and travel as needed • Free parking • No telework option available • Selected candidates will begin at $39,000 before taxes Qualifications Minimum Requirements: • Successful completion of the Building Trades Trainee program or equivalent Federal Government job title • Three years of experience in the painting trade • An equivalent combination of experience and training Special Requirement: • Valid Class C Driver's License required Other Requirements: • PA residency requirement must be met • Ability to perform essential job functions Legal Requirements: • Medical examination required upon conditional offer of employment • Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports How to Apply: • Submit relevant detailed experience/education on application • Attach college transcripts if claiming education • Application deadline applies Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
